Honda Racing Corporation is proud to announce a six-time MotoGP World Champion, Marc Marquez has signed a four-year extension of his contract and will continue to race with the manufacturer's team until at least December 2024.

"We are pleased to announce that, after the end of this season, Marquez will stay in the Honda family for another four years. We started talking a few months ago, because both parties want to stay together and continue to win.

Marquez began his career in the first class in 2013 and with him we have won six of the last seven MotoGP titles.

As a unique champion, he deserves a unique deal. I am very confident in this partnership and I hope that everyone involved will continue to succeed, "HRC President Yoshishige Nomura said in an official release received by RunganSport.

"I am very proud to announce my renewal with the Honda Racing Corporation for the next four years. Honda gave me the opportunity to arrive in the MotoGP class with a motorcycle manufacturer in 2013.

Since the first year we have achieved mutual success and I am very happy to continue to be part of the Honda family.

HRC gave me the confidence to expand this partnership to achieve common goals and continue our success story, "said Marquez.

With this, it means that Marquez will remain at Honda for 12 seasons from 2013, and will end in the upcoming 2024 season.
